God, our Trusted Guide, you never left the Israelite’s alone in the desert. Bring us the comfort of trusting in your companionship during our time of testing and barrenness. Send the Holy Spirit to give us the courage to avoid temptation. We ask this through Jesus, our Lord and Brother. Amen
