Lord Jesus, as the length of daylight grows shorter each day, we ask you to protect us from the darkness, especially the lethal darkness of the Evil one, who seeks to draw us away from the straight course. You live and reign with God the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen
