2026 Lenten Service Project

This Lent, SS. John and Paul will support the MCREST women’s shelter in Mt. Clements which coincides with our host week in April.   For more than 35 years, MCREST has provided men, women, and children experiencing homelessness with a safe place to stay and the personalized support needed to rebuild their lives. Through comprehensive case management, life-skills coaching, employment and housing assistance, and our Learning & Resource Center, we help guests overcome the barriers that lead to homelessness and achieve long-term stability.

We will be collecting the following items February 22 – March 21:

  • Monetary donations for Bus Tickets – Guests use the bus system to get to jobs, appointments, visits with family, etc.  If writing a check, make out to SSJP and put MCREST in the memo line.
  • Laundry pods, dryer sheets, dark men’s/women’s socks, men’s/women’s underwear (all sizes)

Collection containers are located in the church gathering area. Thank you!
