Please click here to read Archbishop Vigneron’s September 2018  letter to the faithful regarding the investigation of  the Catholic Church in Michigan by the State Attorney General.

In August 2017 the Archdiocese of Detroit published a letter in response to clerical sexual abuse.  This letter reinforces our compliance with The Dallas Charter, safe environment training for all clerics, priest candidates, staff, and volunteers.  This letter also details how to make a complaint and what the process is, which starts with turning each complaint over to the civil authorities.  It also details from 2004 forward the number and amount of settlements paid and where the money to pay those settlements came from.  Click  Response-to-Clerical-Sexual-Abuse-2017 to read the letter.
